Hearing Loss / Audiology
Oxon & Bucks NHS Audiology service (age 55+)
Patients aged 55 + experiencing hearing and communication difficulties who might benefit from a hearing assessment and rehabilitation including the option of trying hearing aids are now able to self-refer themselves to the age-related hearing loss service Oxon & Bucks NHS Audiology Service without the need for a GP referral.
Clearing the wax prior, the audiology assessment is part of the service, and it is provided in no additional charge. However, this will be provided only if the self-management steps have been followed (please perform 2 weeks self-management by using the olive oil or sodium bicarbonate drops).
