What is Accurx?

Accurx enables GP practices to receive information and provide advice on straightforward issues like:

• Ask advice about a medical issue. You will be asked for further details, and can submit photos if they would be helpful
• Request help with an administrative matter eg request a fit note or for information about a referral

If you need a telephone or face to face appointment with a GP, please see our appointments page.

You just need to fill out a quick form, and the practice responds with advice or a request for you to book an appointment. This option will be available from 8am to 6:30pm each day. Online requests will be dealt with within 1 working day and actioned as appropriate.

It is not designed for medically urgent issues, in this case you should always phone reception.

Using this service you can also access self-help content, alternative options available to you, e.g. pharmacy, symptom checkers, or 111. The requests are treated the same as other ways of seeking help, and you may be advised to book a routine appointment in the normal way.
