Botley Bridge Roadworks
As you may be aware, Network Rail have plans to replace the railway bridge over the Botley Road to facilitate improvements to the station. These works are due to take place from 11th April for 6 months. There will be pedestrian access, including bicycles, mobility scooters, wheelchairs etc. under the bridge, but no vehicle access at all, including no emergency vehicles.
Alternative routes include:
- Via Roger Dudman Way and Walton Well Road into Jericho
- Via Osney Lane footbridge (please note this route is not accessible)
There is further information on the Cyclox website about local cycle routes.
Buses will run up to the bridge and people will then disembark, walk under the bridge, and continue on foot or get the bus the other side.
Please bear in mind that if you need to attend the surgery during this period you may need to allow extra time to get to your appointment. Whilst we make every endeavour, we may not be able to see you if you arrive late.
If you are concerned that this may make travel around or through this area difficult you may find these pages on the Oxfordshire County Council website helpful;
Please see the council website for more information

- Monday, Wednesday and Friday (starting on Wednesday 12th)
- 10am to 2pm
- 1 bus an hour
